Participation of DSMU in the International Training of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE): An Unforgettable Experience of Learning and Communication
In Chișinău–Butuceni (Moldova), the international Moldova School on Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes took place, dedicated to the most pressing issues of pediatric endocrinology and diabetology.
The ESPE School in Moldova brought together 20 fellows from three Eastern European countries (Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova), creating a learning environment for specialists passionate about pediatric endocrinology who strive to enhance their clinical and academic skills through this unique experience.
A presentation on the topic “Multifaceted Diabetes: a Clinical Case”, prepared by the staff of the Department of Pediatrics 1 and Medical Genetics headed by Professor Oleksandr Abaturov, in collaboration with Viktoriia Yehnovatova, Head of the Pediatric Endocrinology Department of City Clinical Hospital No. 6, was delivered by Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics 1 and Medical Genetics of DSMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and representative of UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) Multidisciplinary Joint Committee on Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases, Anna Nikulina.
The professionalism and enthusiasm demonstrated by Moldovan colleagues under the leadership of Prof. Rodica Eremciuc (Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Chișinău, Moldova) in organizing this ESPE School left an unforgettable impression on the participants. The sessions were not only academically intensive but also inspiring, especially for young endocrinologists embarking on their professional careers.
The experience of this event went far beyond international training: it became a space for professional and cultural exchange, as well as a true celebration of knowledge and collaboration.
